NaNo - Day 1

Weee... November is finally here. So I better get my fingers typing and my brain working on stories right about... now.

Just wanted to let you know on the state of my current project.

This year's book is entitled Saving Grace  and it has spectacular double/triple meaning since it's about Angels and demons and the MCs name is Grace and she also is saved and does some saving. -> I'm going to go for Urban Fantasy with this one, because even if there will be a lot of romance in it, I'm going to try not to make that my focus.

I don't have an outline for this, or all the characters planned out. I only have the MCs, the baddie and 2 support characters so far. I also have a splitting headache. (but that has nothing to do with the project). I also have the beginning, the ending and the main turning points in the story figured out. Whatever happens in between... I'll have to write to find out.

So, how's everyone doing? Excited? If you want me as your writing buddy, my NaNo name is wim13 (big surprise). Running off to do some writing now. Watch my progress in the nifty bubble on the sidebar.

  1. Good luck with NaNo, Steph. "Saving Grace" sounds like my kinda story :).

  3. Yay, Stef!

Sadly, no NaNo for me again this year. If I stop working on my current WIP, I fear I may not get back to it. I'm kind of unfocused that way sometimes...

Can't wait to see what you come up with, though!

  4. Here's wishing you luck! Wow! 3000+ words on day 1? You are way ahead of the game right at the outset. Good going.

  5. Um, the "NaNoReviseMo" is kinda halted, but I have a plan - it's called a holiday - and I'll hopefully be making serious headway then. I have a tiny rewritten excerpt over at my blog, if you'd like to see.
